Microservices

I think most folks who end up writing "mircoservices" really have no idea what the term means. They've latched on to some kind of imaginary romance with RESTful web services, and forgotten how to write good software along the way.

Royal Titles

I think in most cases we should address folks how they want to be addressed. But part of me has a really difficult time with royal titles. While military hierarchy has terms such as "sir" to denote respective address for rank or age, I dislike the term with context of royalty, to say the least.

Honourary degrees and Doctors

I had thought about comparing honourary degrees, specifically doctors, with knighthood, but then I remembered that medical doctors have enough of their own disputes about who constitutes a "doctor" without even getting into honourary doctors. MD vs DO, medical vs dentist, english has some elitism.
