Dear Corporal Ghost

I don't want to use your real name, but I think your rank at the time of what I'm writing about is fine. You'll know it's me because of my name on my own blog here. If that doesn't ring a bell then all I can say is you called me Alphabet.

It's been a while. I listen to a lot of folks on the talking about things, especially since 2021, and I figured I could at least address something that happened a long time ago. There is so much chatter about things, and people criticizing others, that I can at least do this one thing.

The main thing I want to say is that I sincerely apologize for wasting your time. I realize how valuable our time is and what you were doing at the time. I deeply regret what happened. I was ordered to ghost you by a higher ranking NCO. They told me I needed to disappear and that if you or any of your team found me I needed to shut-up and say nothing. So when you did find me, that is exactly why I said nothing. Everything you said was true. I completely wasted your time and probably everyone else you were with.

The sad thing is, what I was involved in all turned out to be futile. It wasn't until a few years later while working with another group that I was indirectly able to in my mind redeem myself.

I could not have known all of these things at the time. I was a lot younger and I don't think anyone at the time thought things would have lasted more than another decade at the time.

Overall my life has turned out pretty great. I hope yours has too.
