I think like most people, I've used the internet as a way to dump complaints or dish out silly banter. From my point of view I mostly just try to poke holes in bad arguments, mostly in good fun. I don't consider myself part of any particular group, except for employment, though I assume that things I have said when critical could have given some people the opinion that I am against them. Overall I think that is a misguided conclusion.

For example, I critique movies I enjoy but that does not mean I dislike something as a whole. But emotions and rational thought are different things, so I understand how some stranger posting to a blog might come across one way or the other.

There are some groups I do belong to in terms of employment, I consider these different, but I am sure someone disagrees with me about that too. I have provided a service to these places of employment. I have always done my best to remain professional even when my place of work has not treated me or others with that same respect.

For these places of employment, I think there are some ways where the politics are involved in a different way than just pop culture. And for this, making critical statements can come across as a particular opinion. And this is where things get even more spicy because I am not allowed to have political opinions.

So from here on out I will probably only comment on things that are either my own experiences, purely technical issues, or pop culture.
